Pria Rai

As Senior Presenter of BBC Newsbeat, Pria leads the daily news on Radio 1, 1xtra and Asian Network. She's also featured across BBC News and is award nominated as both presenter and journalist of the year.

 

Highlights of her work include a special mental health discussion programme with the Prince and Princess of Wales, and a documentary investigating the black market of 'skinny jabs'.

 

She uses her platform to tell stories of underserved communities and Pria is passionate about making the news accessible and relatable for all. Aside from her broadcast work, she also hosts live events and is a judge for the BBC's Young Reporter Competition.
